The Department of Labor and Employment will set up new POLOs in China, Germany, Japan, New Zealand and the United States, according to DOLE Secretary Silvestre Bello.
“These will open as soon as we can provide the manpower. Hopefully, this year in Germany and China,” Bello said.
He said the government would put up a POLO in Berlin to help Filipino nurses and medical workers in Germany.
The government will also establish POLOs in Osaka and Florida to attend to the needs of Filipino seafarers.
“We will also have a new POLO in Wellington, New Zealand to assist our skilled workers and farmers,” Bello said.
He said the government would set up a POLO in Shanghai, China.
According to Bello, the government establishes POLOs in countries where there are large concentration of OFWs.
