MANILA, Philippines — The Northern Police District (NPD) confiscated at least P5.4 million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu from six alleged pushers, four of whom are minors.
Ronald Allan Isip; Steven Laloy, 18; and four minors were arrested in four separate stings in Valenzuela, Quezon City, and Pandi, Bulacan, according to the NPD director Chief Superintendent Gregorio Lim.
Laloy was arrested in Gen. T. De Leon, Valenzuela. He yielded four sachets of shabu worth P10,880.
Isip was later arrested in Tandang Sora, Quezon City in a sting that yielded 95 grams of shabu, with a street value of P680,000. He allegedly sold five grams of shabu worth P11,000 to the undercover police officer.
In Pandi, two minors were arrested for seling 100 grams of shabu for P220,000. Police also recovered 200 grams of shabu with a street value of P1.36 million from the suspects.
Two more minors were arrested in another sting in Pandi selling another 100 grams of shabu for P220,000. Police recovered 500 grams of shabu with a street value of P3.4 million.
Police also arrested 16 persons for drug-related offenses in Quezon City, three each in San Juan and Marikina, two each in Parañaque and Makati and one in Pasig over the past two days. – Emmanuel Tupas, Robertzon Ramirez
