NCRPO Chief Guillermo Eleazar promoted
MANILA, Philippines — National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) head Chief Superintendent Guillermo Eleazar was promoted yesterday to the rank of director.
President Duterte approved the promotion of Eleazar, a member of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class ‘87.
Department of the Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año recommended the promotion of Eleazar through a letter dated Aug. 16.
Eleazar’s promotion was endorsed by the Civil Service Commission and recommended by the National Police Commission (Napolcom).
Eleazar was named NCRPO chief in June. He is set to retire on Nov. 13, 2021.
Prior to his assignment as NCRPO chief, Eleazar was the chief of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) and the Calabarzon police.
A known disciplinarian, Eleazar continued implementing the programs and projects of Philippine National Police chief Director General Oscar Albayalde, Eleazar’s predecessor at the NCRPO, such as the internal cleansing and the war against illegal drugs.
