MANILA, Philippines — All provincial bus terminals in Quezon City will be moved to an interim terminal in Valenzuela City starting Aug. 15 as part of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority’s traffic reduction plan, an official said yesterday.
MMDA general manager Jojo Garcia said the removal of the bus terminals would ease the traffic problems in the metropolis and pave the way for some motorists to take public transport instead.
Bong Nebrija, MMDA supervising operations officer, said around nine firms or at least 298 buses would be accommodated in the five-hectare facility.
