DAVAO CITY, Philippines — Residents of this city can enjoy two long weekends this month.
Malacañang has declared Aug. 17 and 20 as special non-working holidays to give residents the opportunity to celebrate the 33rd Kadayawan sa Davao.
The Kadayawan festival, a celebration of bountiful harvest and unity among 11 indigenous tribes, is expected to draw thousands of tourists.
It will be another long weekend for residents of this city during the celebration of National Heroes Day, a regular holiday, which falls on a Monday.
