Couple electrocuted in Cagayan

TUGUEGARAO, Cagayan , Philippines  —   A couple died of electrocution in Sta. Teresita, Cagayan yesterday.

Jayson Dumlao, 30, accidentally touched a live wire on a perimeter fence in a rice field in Barangay Villa, according to a police report.  His wife Jenny, 31, was electrocuted when she tried to help him.

The victims were pronounced dead on arrival at the Alfonso Ponce Enrile Memorial District Hospital.

Police are looking into the culpability of the owner of the rice field, Dominador Tara, 47, for the incident.
