316 Pangasinan barangays remain flooded
LINGAYEN, Pangasinan, Philippines — At least 316 barangays in Pangasinan remained flooded yesterday, reports gathered by the police showed.
In Mangatarem town, 61 barangays are still submerged in flood water; San Carlos City, 57; Dagupan City, 31; Calasiao and Bugallon, 24 each; Sta. Barbara, 22, and Lingayen and Binmaley, 20 each.
In Bayambang, 18 barangays remain flooded; Malasiqui, 15; Urbiztondo, eight; Aguilar, six; Basista, four, and Agno and Urdaneta City, three each.
Roads in Barangays Sawat and Gueteb in Urbiztondo, Sta. Barbara and Sitio Sto. Rosario in Barangay Cayungnan, all in Agno are still not passable to light vehicles.
In Calasiao, roads in Barangays Mancup, Banaoang, Bued, San Vicente, Lasip and Talibaew are not passable to light vehicles.
Barangay roads in Malued, Tapuac City High, Guilig, Lasip Grande, M.H. del Pilar, Mayombo and parts of Pantal and the national road in Dagupan City remain flooded.
In Malasiqui, water levels in Barangays Butao, Bogtong Ican and Barang remain several feet deep.
The roads linking San Carlos City to Aguilar and to Urbiztondo are not passable to all types of vehicles.
The Sangguniang Panglungsod approved a resolution on Monday placing Pangasinan under a state of calamity due to massive flooding.
Damage to agriculture was initially placed at P648.43 million and infrastructure at P435.7 million.
