QCPD station chief axed over irregularity in drug operation

Non Alquitran - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — The commander of Quezon City Police District Station 10 in Kamuning was removed from his post yesterday over an alleged irregularity in an operation last Friday involving the seizure of 10 kilos of marijuana with a street value of P1.4 million.

National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) director Chief Superintendent Guillermo Eleazar said Superintendent Ariel Capocao is on floating status pending investigation and was replaced by Superintendent Benjamin Tremor.

Last Friday, Capocao and his men arrested Mark Philip Jualan, Juan Soriano and Eli Jordan Bringas during a drug sting in Barangay Culiat.

Eleazar presented the 10 bundles of marijuana confiscated from the suspects in a press conference.

However, Eleazar said he received reports that the suspects were traced through an alleged pusher who was earlier arrested by QCPD Station 10.

He became angry when he learned that while the three were charged in court, the alleged pusher was released with no charges filed.
