MANILA, Philippines — Caritas Manila, the social arm of the Archdiocese of Manila, is set to hold a fund-raising program to help finance the education of its 5,000 scholars.
In a statement, Caritas Manila said it would launch the “Tithing for the Poor” through its annual back-to –school telethon that would be aired over Radio Veritas 846 tomorrow from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The funds that would be collected through the telethon would be used to support the 5,000 youth scholars under Caritas Manila’s flagship program, the Youth Servant Leadership and Education Program .
