Crocodile attacks man, son in Palawan

MANILA, Philippines — A man and his son were injured after they were attacked by a crocodile near their home in Palawan on Saturday afternoon.

Rosmin Buara and his son Karik, 15, were taken to the Balabac Municipal Hospital for treatment.

Karik was preparing their boat for fishing when the 15-foot-long crocodile dragged him into the waters off the village of Salang in Balabac town at around 2 p.m.

The victim’s mother heard her son’s call for help, prompting her to wake up her husband.

Rosmin reportedly wrestled with the crocodile to save his son, but he too was bitten.
