Mall tenant condemns employee involved in deadly stabbing
MANILA, Philippines — The employer of the suspect in the fatal stabbing incident at SM North EDSA mall in Quezon City Thursday night denounced its worker’s alleged crime.
In a statement Friday, PC Home Philippines said it is cooperating with the proper authorities on the ongoing investigation into the incident that led to the death of customer Geroldo Querijero.
The victim was stabbed to death by the suspect identified as Leo Laab, the store’s head technician, following a heated argument over a job order.
Laab fled from the scene.
“We would like to reiterate that we do not tolerate this kind of unlawful act by our employee,” PC Homes said.
The computer service center also vowed that it would extend help to Querijero’s relatives.
In a separate statement, the management of SM North EDSA assured the public that “all efforts are being done to continue in keeping the mall safe and secure at all times.”
