MALOLOS, Philippines — With their house destroyed, the wake for five victims of the plane crash in Plaridel, Bulacan on Saturday is being held at a chapel in their barangay.
Felicisima Mungcal, head of the Bulacan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) of Bulacan said the provincial government would shoulder the funeral expenses of the victims.
Mungcal said the PDRRMO has been coordinating with concerned government agencies on the management of the incident.
A report on GMA News said the operator of the six-seater Pipa PA-23 Apache plane vowed to extend financial assistance to the relatives of the victims. A lawyer of Lite Air Express reportedly went to the crash site.
Personnel of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office are set to visit the crash site today to conduct stress debriefing to residents of Barangay Lumang Bayan where the plane crashed.plane crashed into their house shortly after takeoff.
Five persons were killed when the plane crashed into their house shortly after takeoff. Those on the plane, including the pilot and a mechanic, were also killed.
Two other residents were injured in a fire caused by the incident.
