MANILA, Philippines — President Duterte has appointed a total of 19 judges to various regional trial courts (RTCs), including family courts (FCs), in Metro Manila in a bid to declog dockets.
Malacañang released yesterday the appointment papers dated October last year.
The new judges were directed to report to their assignments after submitting the necessary requirements before the Office of the President and the Civil Service Commission.
Duterte appointed Judge Mateo Altarejos to Branch 16-FC, Valenzuela City; Byron San Pedro, RTC Branch 15-FC Taguig; Mary Catherine Garcia, RTC 14-FC, San Juan City; Lily Ann Padaen, RTC 13-FC, Quezon City; Carmecita Logan, RTC Branch 12, Pasig City; Jehan Hassiman, RTC Branch 11-FC, Pasay City; and Moises de Castro, RTC Branch 10-FC Parañaque City.
Also appointed were Cecilla Parallag, RTC Branch 9-FC, Navotas; Wehrly Mendez, RTC Branch 8-FC, Muntinlupa City; Edwin Valdez, RTC Branch 7-FC, Marikina City; Phrincess Marloween Hermogeno, RTC Branch 6-FC, Manila; and Joanne Lazo, RTC Branch 5-FC, Mandaluyong City.
Abigail Laylo was appointed to RTC Branch 4-FC, Malabon City; Robert Victor Marcon, RTC Branch 3-FC, Makati City; Mildren Marquez, RTC Branch 2-FC Las Piñas City; and Barbara Aleli Briones, RTC Branch 1-FC Caloocan City.
