MANILA, Philippines — One of the Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) trains stalled during yesterday morning’s rush hour, inconveniencing commuters.

A southbound train stopped a few meters before reaching the Roosevelt station in Quezon City after its air compressor was damaged, said Rod Bolario, LRT-1 head of operations.

No commuter was on the affected train but around 300 commuters were inconvenienced as the incident prevented other trains from passing through the Roosevelt and Balintawak stations, he added.

Bolario said the LRT-1’s operation normalized at around 8 a.m., a few minutes after the affected train was removed from the rail tracks.
