1 dead, 10 hurt in 6-vehicle smashup

ROSARIO, La Union, Philippines — A truck driver died while 10 others were seriously injured in an accident involving six vehicles in this town yesterday morning. 

Chief Inspector Silverio Ordinado Jr., La Union police information officer, identified the fatality as Mark Anthony Locquiao, 25, a resident of Barangay Pinmaludpod, Urdaneta, Pangasinan.

Locquiao reportedly lost control of the wheel while driving down the road in Barangay Udiao. The truck crashed into another truck, two motorcycles and two buses. 

The injured were taken to a hospital for treatment.
