Trader beats up daughter

TUGUEGARAO, Philippines — A businessman allegedly beat up his teenage daughter for going on a date on Valentine’s Day in Villaviciosa, Abra.

Joseph Suaso was reported to the municipal social welfare office by his wife, who is an overseas Filipino worker. 

The woman reportedly submitted photos of her daughter, who suffered bruises and contusions in the body and head.

The complainant said Suaso allegedly hit the girl’s head on the wall.

Police have yet to determine the charges that would be filed against the businessman.
