MANILA, Philippines — The local government of Cainta, Rizal has offered a reward of P100,000 for information leading to the arrest of the killer of its deputy police chief.

A task force was also created to handle the investigation into the killing of Senior Inspector Jimmy Senosin during a shootout with Ruben Gomez, a leader of a drug and robbery group, and his cohorts in Barangay San Andres on Monday.

Senosin, 41, was hit in the head and died while being treated in a hospital.

Four teams were dispatched in Taytay town and Pasig City, believed to be hangouts of Gomez, Superintendent Raynold Rosero, Cainta police chief, said.
