8 Laguna, Quezon chief cops replaced
CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Eight chiefs of police in Laguna and Quezon have been replaced in a reshuffle implemented by the Philippine National Police (PNP), officials said yesterday.
Replaced in Quezon were Superintendents Freddie Dantes, Reynaldo Maclang, Rodrigo Soriano, Romulo Albacea and Chief Inspector Rexpher Gaoiran of Tiaong, Lucena City, Sariaya, Lopez and Tayabas, respectively.
They were replaced by Superintendents Edwin Obal, Vicente Cabatingan, Rafael Torres, Rodrigo Soriano and Senior Inspector Romar Pacis, in the same order.
In Laguna, Superintendents Sancho Celedio of Calamba, Gil Torralba of San Pablo City and Chief Inspector Reynaldo Vitto of Nagcarlan were replaced by Superintendents Reynaldo Maclang, Hermogenes Cabe and Chief Inspector Arlen Abastillas, respectively.
The reshuffle was not only due to performance rating, overstaying and failure to comply with the PNP policies, but also for career advancement of the officers, according to Superintendent Chitadel Gaoiran, spokesperson for Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon) police.
