Police seize P1 million in drugs in QC buy-bust
MANILA, Philippines — Police, on early Sunday morning, seized an estimated P1 million worth of illegal drugs in a buy-bust operation in Quezon City.
The Quezon City District Drug Enforcement Unit led the buy-bust operation at a restaurant on Timog Avenue at around 7:45 a.m., according to Superintendent Guillermo Eleazar, Quezon City Police District chief.
Citing a report from the chief of the DDEU, Eleazar said that a big plastic sachet and 19 small plastic sachets of cocaine weighing more or less 30 grams with street value of P300,000 were seized in the operation. Also nabbed in the buy-bust were more than 200 pieces of ecstasy valued at P500,000 and four bottles of liquid ecstasy valued at P200,000.
The suspects were also arrested with marked money worth P100,000.
"Continuous follow up is being undertaken for possible arrest of their main supplier," the report read.
The police are looking into filing sale and possession charges against the four suspects under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
