Minors held for killing woman, 69

ANGELES CITY – Two minors who admitted killing a woman were brought to the Bahay Pag-Asa youth rehabilitation center in this city.

The suspects, aged 15 and 17, were part-time gardeners of the victim, Florida Velasquez, 69, who lived alone in her house.

A belated police report said the minors stabbed and strangled Velasquez with a length of a cable wire after she caught them stealing her jewelry on Oct. 21.

Velasquez’s body was found by her masseuse when she came to the the victim’s house.
