Kidnapped woman found dead

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — A woman who was seized by unidentified men on Friday was  found dead in a village in Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte on Saturday.

The victim, whose identity was witheld so as not jeopardize manhunt operations for the suspect, bore multiple hack wounds. 

Chief Inspector Helen Galvez, Zamboanga peninsula police spokesperson, said the victim was taken from her residence in Barangay Malipot. 

Galvez said forensic examination showed the victim was also raped.
