MANILA, Philippines —  Bonifacio Global City's lone bus operator, BGC Bus, has announced that it would roll out improved bus routes and schedules to help ease the commuters’ waiting time and let them reach their destinations faster.

Express buses plying different routes will now be optimized with fewer stops making the passengers’ trips shorter. This optimized route, developed based on historical data of foot traffic and travel time, will be implemented starting Monday.

“The BGC Bus is considered the main transport system within BGC. We have the commuting public in mind when we decided to redesign the bus routes, stops, and schedules,” BGC Bus Marketing Manager Sean Luarca said.

“By assessing historical data, we have come up with a system to help alleviate passenger wait time so BGCitizens and guests can reach their destinations safely and conveniently within the shortest time possible,” he added.

Here are the optimized routes and their corresponding number of stops:

  • Upper West (New Route of Express Buses) – Two stops

  • Lower West (New Route of Express buses) – Three stops

  • East Express – Will carry passengers via P2P (Point-to-Point bus)

  • North Express – Four stops

The express bus will be accessible to the riding public from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The standard BGC bus fare remains at P12 and it is accepting payments via beep card, also used in Light Rail Transit and Metro Rail Transit.

BGC Bus serves a total of 41,000 passengers per day according to records.
