MMDA suspends Pasig Ferry services due to 'Gorio'
MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila Development Authority on Thursday ordered suspension of Pasig Ferry System operations due to bad weather caused by Tropical Storm "Gorio."
In its announcement, MMDA said the suspension of ferry services was prompted by heavy rains. It cited that the river current and visibility is unpredictable due to the bad weather.
"As such, the operations of the Pasig River Ferry System is suspended today until further notice, for the safety of passengers and boat crew," MMDA said in its advisory.
