Magnitude 3.6 quake jolts Southern Tagalog

MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude 3.6 earthquake rattled parts of Southern Tagalog yesterday, but did not cause any damage, state seismologists said.
The epicenter of the tremor, which occurred at around 5:53 a.m., was located around eight kilometers southwest of Mabini, Batangas. The quake was felt at Intensity 1 in Barangay Pulang Bato, San Nicolas and Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake is not expected to generate aftershocks.
