MANILA, Philippines - Six more drug suspects were killed in separate incidents in Luzon in the past two days.
Alvin Ocampo, alias Vait, a resident of Barangay Ulingao, San Rafael, Bulacan, allegedly fired at anti-drug operatives on Friday.
Police said Joseph Gonzales, 36, and Adrian Torres, 23, of Barangay Gaya-Gaya, San Jose del Monte City were shot by unidentified men who barged into their houses, which were used as drug dens, also on Friday.
Jimcar delos Santos was riding a motorcycle with Jaypee San Jose and William Weafold in Barangay San Jose, Antipolo City yesterday when unidentified men opened fire. The assailants also shot community pastor Jose Ramos who was on his way home after visiting a chapel.
San Jose and Weafold were wounded and taken to a hospital for treatment.
Romeo Belda reportedly fired at policemen serving a search warrant at his residence in San Pablo, Laguna.
Meanwhile, police have yet to determine the motives for gun attacks that killed security guards Nelson Raguine and Benito Siton in Sta. Rosa also in Laguna; Delson Jocson, Dindo Geremillo and Placido Pablo in General Trias, Cavite; Tanay, Rizal and San Ildefonso, Ilocos Sur, respectively, in the past two days. – Ric Sapnu, Ramon Efren Lazaro, Raymund Catindig, Ed Amoroso, Robertzon Ramirez
