MANILA, Philippines - A Grab driver who allegedly sold shabu in his car and three other drug suspects were arrested in separate operations in Quezon City in the past two days.
Police identified the driver as Eladio Tiburcio, alias Elly, 42.
Tiburcio was apprehended during a drug sting at the Araneta Center along General Roxas Avenue in Barangay Socorro at around 5 a.m. yesterday.
Members of the Cubao police said they conducted an operation against Tiburcio after receiving information that he was allegedly involved in drug peddling.
Tiburcio was collared after he allegedly sold P500 worth of shabu in his silver Toyota Vios (VK-2391) to a police officer who posed as a buyer.
Police said they recovered from Tiburcio two sachets of shabu, two mobile phones and the marked money.
Alvin Talosa, 39, a security guard, and Benjamin Pili were arrested for alleged possession of illegal drugs and gunrunning along Morning Glory street in Barangay Talipapa at around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Their cohort, Gilbert Roldan, managed to escape.
Talosa and Pili allegedly yielded a .38-caliber revolver, four sachets of shabu and drug paraphernalia.
In Barangay Escopa-3, suspected drug pusher Emerson Dayag, alias Berto, was apprehended by anti-narcotics agents in front of his house along Kawan Gawad street yesterday.
Police said they recovered from Dayag seven sachets of shabu, drug paraphernalia and the marked money.
