DAGUPAN CITY, Pangasinan, Philippines – A village chief was arrested in Binalonan town yesterday for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

Manuel Pineda of Barangay Santiago yielded a caliber .45 pistol, an improvised shotgun, a caliber .22 rifle, a rifle grenade and various ammunition, said Senior Police Officer 4 Joey Barlaan of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Pangasinan.
