MANILA, Philippines - At least 29 drug surrenderees in Pasig City will undergo a 45-day skills and livelihood training starting today, a police official said yesterday.
Dubbed “Pasigueño Achieve ang Pagbabago,” the program is part of the anti-illegal drugs campaign of the Eastern Police District headed by Chief Superintendent Romulo Sapitula.
The training will be held at the Pasig City Institute of Science and Technology.
Sapitula said the drug surrenderees were enrolled in courses such as electronics, driving and troubleshooting, plumbing, welding, beauty care, culinary arts, bread and pastry production as well as dressmaking.
The courses were accredited by the Technical Education Skills and Development Authority.
The participants will be given certificates of competency after they have completed the training.
