MANILA, Philippines - A 21-year-old college student believed to be high on drugs died after he reportedly jumped from the 20th floor of a condominium in Manila at dawn yesterday.
Probers identified the fatality as Nathan Wolfe Soto.
Police Officer 3 Roderick Magpale of the Manila Police District homicide unit said Soto was with his friends at Unit 2034 of the Manila Residences Tower II in Malate.
Magpale said the group was about to go to sleep when Soto went hysterical and ran outside at past 2 a.m.
One of Soto’s companions, James Evangelista, tried to pacify him. But Soto jumped from the window and fell on the canopy on the eighth floor.
Soto died at the scene.
Probers said they recovered dried marijuana leaves and drug paraphernalia in Soto’s condominium unit.
