Mild quakes jolt Baguio, Surigao

MANILA, Philippines - The cities of Baguio and Surigao were hit by mild earthquakes yesterday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology reported.

A magnitude 3 quake, which was felt at Intensity 2, shook Baguio at around 11:34 a.m. 

Another quake with a magnitude of 2.4 also struck  the city at around 11:37 a.m.

A magnitude 2.8 tremor hit Surigao City before 2 p.m. The epicenter of the quake, which was felt at Intensity 3 in Surigao City, was four kilometers southeast of the city.

No damage or aftershocks were expected from the quake.
