CHED records officer shot dead

GENERAL SANTOS CITY , Philippines  – The records officer of the Commission on Higher Education in Soccsksargen was killed in a gun attack by unidentified men in front of the CHED regional office in Koronadal City on Tuesday.

Jennifer Oñas, 43, a resident of this city, had just got off a bus when she was shot in the back at around 7:15 a.m.

Oñas died while being treated at the Allah Valley Medical Specialist Hospital.

Probers said the killing could be work-related. The victim reportedly refused to issue special orders to some graduate schools for giving fake documents.
