MANILA, Philippines - A 37-year-old tattoo artist died after he was stabbed while sleeping in a parked tricycle in Sta. Ana, Manila yesterday morning.
Probers identified the fatality as Jose Navarro, of Onyx street in San Andres Bukid.
His assailant, Leonardo Torreon, turned himself in to police after the incident.
Prior to the killing, Police Officer 3 Rodel Benitez said Navarro and Torreon figured in a fistfight over a rooster.
Benitez said the suspect was walking along Zobel street at around 6 a.m. when he noticed Navarro sleeping in the tricycle and stabbed him.
Witnesses rushed Navarro to the Sta. Ana Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
