Pasig fire leaves 200 homeless

MANILA, Philippines - At least 200 families lost their homes in a fire that hit a residential compound in Pasig City Sunday.
Two adults and a child were hurt in the blaze that started at 48 Vicper Compound in Barangay Malinao at around 3:40 p.m., said Superintendent Arturo Marcos of the city fire department.
The fire reached Task Force Alpha and destroyed 100 houses before it was put out at around 6:10 p.m.
Investigators estimated property damage at around P700,000.
