5 dead in QC shootings
MANILA, Philippines - Five people were killed in separate attacks in Quezon City starting Sunday.
Ricky del Mundo, 40, and Joselito Bartolay, 48, were engaged in cockfighting along Kaibigan street in Barangay Batasan Hills when a masked man shot them at around 4 p.m.
Del Mundo died at the scene while Bartolay was declared dead on arrival at the East Avenue Medical Center.
Three others were killed an hour apart on Sunday night.
Joel Reyes, 33, was sleeping in front of his house along F. Carlos street in Barangay Baesa when two armed assailants shot him at around 10:30 p.m.
In Barangay Bagong Silangan, a still unidentified man was found dead, having been shot in the back, along Oriol street at around 11:30 p.m.
Bryan Miranda, 18, was shot dead while he was cooking food at his cousin’s house along San Miguel street in Barangay Payatas B at around 12:35 a.m. yesterday.
