MANILA, Philippines – Tropical Depression Bising, which has weakened into a low-pressure area (LPA), moved further from the Philippine area of responsibility, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

As of 10 a.m. yesterday, the LPA was located 635 kilometers east of Juban, Sorsogon.

“The LPA is no longer affecting any part of the country,” PAGASA said.

However, the state weather bureau said the eastern section of Luzon and the Visayas would continue to experience cloudy skies with light rains due to the prevailing northeast monsoon or amihan.

The northern and eastern seaboards of northern Luzon and eastern seaboard of Central and Southern Tagalog will continue to be rough due to the surge of the northeast monsoon.

PAGASA issued a gale warning over Batanes, Calayan, Babuyan, Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, Isabela, Aurora, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes as well as the eastern coasts of Albay, Sorsogon and Quezon, including Polillo island.
