MANILA, Philippines – A magnitude-4 earthquake rocked parts of Bohol yesterday, state seismologists said.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake occurred at 11:40 a.m. and was located some six kilometers northeast of Antequera town.
The quake was felt at Intensity 4 in Antequera and Tagbilaran City, Intensity 3 in Loboc and Intensity 2 in Dauis and Loay, all in Bohol.
It was not expected to generate damage or aftershocks.
Meanwhile, a magnitude-4.7 quake was also recorded in the towns of Kalingalan Caluang in Sulu, Governor Generoso in Davao Oriental and Sarangani in Davao Occidental yesterday.
Phivolcs said the quake was unfelt.
