MANILA, Philippines – An alumnus of the University of the Philippines Los Baños topped the recent Civil Engineering Licensure Exam.
UPLB graduate, Sirven Carandang Garibay, topped the examination with 93.20 percent.
He was joined by 12 others in the list of examinees with the 10 highest scores.
Garibay bested the 5,036 passers of the Civil Engineering Licensure Examination given by the Board of Civil Engineering in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban and Zamboanga this November 2016. There were 10,972 exam takers.
The Professional Regulation Commission released the results in three working days after the last examination.
Exam takers from the University of the Philippines also dominated the passers as 96.08 percent of them passed while UPLB placed second with 95.16. Other schools which made it to the six top performing schools were Technological University of the Philippines, Pangasinan State University, and University of Rizal City, Morong.
