LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte — A 60-year-old businessman was shot dead in Solsona town on Saturday evening, police said.
 
Police Chief Inspector Dexter Corpuz, chief information officer of the Ilocos Norte Police Provincial Office, said Patricio Narciso, 60, a furniture shop owner and resident of Santa Ana village was shot dead by men on a motorcycle in Laureta village at 7 pm.
 
Investigation showed that prior to the incident, the victim was driving a motorcycle when the suspects followed and shot him at the back upon approaching an under construction bridge.
 
The suspects immediately fled, police said.
 
Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) recovered seven fired cartridges of a Cal .45 pistol at the crime scene.
 
Police said the motive being established was personal grudge.
