MANILA, Philippines - Two men were killed in separate shooting incidents in the cities of Manila and Malabon on Friday night.
Police said Arnaldo Hizon, 41, was on his way home on a motorcycle along Pilapil Perez street in Barangay Tonsuya, Malabon when two unidentified suspects fired at him at around 9:30 p.m.
Hizon died at the scene from six gunshots to the body.
The assailants escaped after the attack.
Police said Hizon had just visited his partner, Robellette Dacillo, when he was shot dead.
In Manila, the body of Michael Acuna, 24, a mechanic, was discovered along Batangas street in Tondo at past 10 p.m.
Probers said Acuna died from gunshots to the head.
The victim’s partner, Julie Ann Campos, told authorities that they were having dinner when a certain Balen called her on the mobile phone requesting Acuna to fix his motorcycle.
Campos said Acuna left the house and was found lifeless after a few hours.
Investigators have yet to determine the motive for the twin killings.
