LIST: 9 roads still closed due to 'Karen'

Some road sections in the Cordillera Administrative Region, Regions 2, and 3 are still affected by Typhoon Karen.

MANILA, Philippines (Philippines News Agency) –  Nine road sections in the Cordillera Administrative Region, Regions 2, and 3 are still impassable after being affected by Typhoon Karen.

Based on a report of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Bureau of Maintenance, the roads were closed in Region 2 due to rockslides and flooding while roads in Region 3 were closed due to traffic.

DPWH has already mobilized maintenance teams with equipment to clear affected sections while continuously monitoring road situations.

Partial cost of damage to national roads and bridges and flood control structures as of October 19 is already P246.9 million with the P48.7 million damage in CAR, P178.8 million in Region 2, P15 million in Region 3, and P4.4 million in Region 5.
