5 dead in Kidapawan road mishap

KIDAPAWAN CITY, Philippines – Five persons died in a collision involving a van and a motorcycle in Barangay Paco here yesterday morning.

The fatalities, whose names were not immediately available, included three of five van passengers and two motorcycle riders.

Taken to the hospital for treatment were Vince Ocumen and Elto Bayodo.

The van and the motorcycle were traveling along the Davao-Kidapawan Highway when they figured in the accident.

The van rolled over and slammed into a tree along the roadside after hitting the motorcycle, according to city disaster action officer Psalmer Bernalte.
