MANILA, Philippines – The government launched yesterday 14 double-deck buses to give commuters a convenient transport option.

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) said the buses were launched under the point-to-point (P2P) program.

The buses will ply the Trinoma-Makati (Glorietta 5) route.

The P2P double-deck buses will be deployed around the clock from Monday to Sunday, the DOTr said.

The single journey fare is P55 and a round trip ticket is P80.

Passengers can also buy one month unlimited ride promo for P1,300.

The units include two VIP, seven semi-VIP and five persons with disability-friendly buses.

The VIP units have an upper floor equipped with 52 reclining sleeper seats with foot rests and reading lights. Each seat has a monitor loaded with games, movies and other entertainment apps.

The lower floor features a VIP cabin with a toilet, cooler, VIP sofas, conference table, and two 50-inch flat screen televisions that also function as a karaoke.

The buses are equipped with closed-circuit television cameras and have passed Euro 5 emission standards.
