Mark Anthony Fernandez nabbed in Angeles for drug possession

ANGELES CITY, Pampanga (Philippines News Agency) – Actor Mark Anthony Fernandez was arrested by police Monday night for possession of about 1 kilo of marijuana at a checkpoint in Barangay Virgen delos Remedios.

Police said Fernandez, on board a yellow Ford Mustang, was flagged down by an anti-crime checkpoint on MacArthur Highway in the area, but sped off going toward the city of San Fernando.

Fernandez was later intercepted due to heavy traffic, police said.

Authorities from the Angeles City Police Station recovered six packs of suspected marijuana weighing approximately one kilo from Fernandez's possession.

The actor is now detained at Station 6.
