Albay cop arrests brother in drug session

CAMALIG, Philippines (Bicol Standard) - Sometimes, blood is not thicker than water.

This was exemplified when PO3 Jeneff Vibar, a member of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), arrested his younger brother who was allegedly using drugs.

Allegedly, PO3 Vibar received a call from a concerned citizen informing him of the illegal drug activity of his younger brother, Epifanio Vibar.

Immediately, PO3 Vibar proceeded to the residence of his younger brother at Barangay 5 in Camalig, Albay, and thereafter caught his brother in the act of sniffing the illegal substance.

After which, a scuffle between the brothers ensued.

The police officer prevailed over his younger brother and handcuffed him.

He then accompanied the younger sibling to the Camalig Municipal Police Station where he himself stood as the arresting officer and complainant at the same time.

Since the suspect was caught in flagrante delicto, the case was the subject of inquest proceedings, the report said.

As of this writing, the suspect is detained at Camalig Municipal Police Station.
