Motorcycle gunmen kill alleged drug peddler in Makati

MANILA, Philippines -- An alleged drug peddler was shot dead in Barangay Rizal in Makati City early Thursday.
According to a report reaching the Southern Police District (SPD), 22-year-old Prince Santos of Juan Luna St. in Barangay Rizal was eating with friends at an eatery on the corner of South Sea and Jacinto streets at about 3:25 a.m. when two men rode up on a motorcycle.
Without warning, the pillion rider opened fire with a cal.45 pistol and hit the victim several times in the body.
The two still unidentified shooters then fled along South Sea Street. Santos was rushed to the nearby Ospital ng Makati but died during treatment.
Police said Santos is a known drug pusher in Barangay Rizal.
Recovered at the crime scene were five cal.45 shells and a leather coin purse containing two plastic sachets of what police believe is methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu.
