UAE nationals rape 2 minors at Baguio hotel
BAGUIO CITY, Philippines – Two United Arab Emirates (UAE) nationals were caught by Baguio policemen Tuesday afternoon inside a hotel at Camp John Hay after allegedly forcing two young girls to drink alcohol and for raping them.
Baguio police director Senior Superintendent George Daskeo said Abderrahman Mohamed Rashid and Waleed Shamlan Alshuweihi brought the two girls from Manila supposedly as tourist guides and checked in at The Manor Hotel.
According to investigators, the UAE nationals allegedly forced the two young girls to drink wine and then Alshuweihi raped them.
The manager of the hotel reported the incident to the police, prompting Daskeo together with a team of policemen and social welfare officers, to head to the hotel.
Daskeo said they even recovered marijuana leaves from the two suspects, who are brought to the Baguio City jail and are facing raps for trafficking.
