Central Visayas’ most wanted nabbed in Lanao

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Central Visayas’ most wanted person was arrested in Linamon town in Lanao del Norte last week, police said yesterday.

Michael Florida’s arrest was based on warrants issued by local courts in Cebu, Dumaguete, Bohol and Ozamis City for robbery.

Superintendent Surki Sereñas, Northern Mindanao police spokesman, said Florida hid in Ozamis City and assumed a different name to elude arrest.

In Misamis Occidental, drug suspect Dario Magnahoy was collared while murder suspect Nico Lagones was killed in a shootout with police officers who served a warrant for his arrest.

“The crackdown was part of the intensified police campaign against most wanted persons,” Sereñas said.
