LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines – Sen. Grace Poe and Camarines Sur. Rep. Leni Robredo got the highest votes in Albay among presidential and vice presidential candidates.
A partial tally of election returns based on the records of the provincial board of canvassers show that Poe got 121,457 votes; administration standard bearer Mar Roxas, 108,435; Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, 39,024, and Vice President Jejomar Binay, 35,796.
Robredo got 190,716 votes; Sen. Francis Escudero, 64,651; Sen. Ferdinand Marcos Jr., 21,398; Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano, 12,476; Sen. Juan Antonio Trillanes, 10,013, and Sen. Gregorio Honasan, 4,194 votes.
Albay Gov. Joey Salceda, who bolted the Liberal Party to support Poe’s presidential bid, had vowed to make the senator win in Albay.
