Eva Visperas - The Philippine Star

DAGUPAN CITY, Philippines – Parts of Pangasinan will experience a power interruption again today.

The 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. blackout will affect the towns of San Manuel, Binalonan, Pozorrubio, Laoac, Asingan, Mapandan, Mangaldan and parts of Urdaneta City, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) announced yesterday.

A power outage from 7 a.m. till noon will also affect the towns of Villasis, Rosales, Balungao, Sto. Tomas, Sta. Maria, Tayug, San Nicolas, Natividad, Umingan, San Quintin, Alcala, Bayambang, Basista and Bautista as well as parts of Malasique and Asingan towns and Urdaneta City.

The NGCP said the blackout would pave the way for the transfer of load from the San Manuel to Nagsaag substation to prevent overloading of its 100-megavolt ampere transformer.
