New Bulacan police chief assumes post

CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan, Philippines – Senior Superintendent Romeo Caramat is the new director of the Bulacan police.

Caramat took over the post from Senior Superintendent Timoteo Pacleb on Wednesday, said Senior Inspector Lynelle Solomon, Bulacan police information officer.

Caramat conducted his first command conference on Thursday to assess the preparations for the elections.

He ordered the chiefs of police of the towns of San Miguel, Baliwag, Sam Ildefonso, Doña Remedios Trinidad and the cities of Meycauayan and San Jose del Monte, which are on the election watchlist, to be on alert for any election-related violence.
